# How to create a new Paralino account

Welcome to Paralino! We're excited you decided to protect your family whereabouts.

First and foremost, download Paralino on your device:

Then tap **Join** to get started.

To access the app, you can **join in two ways**:

1. Creating a good old, regular email/password account
2. Joining as a guest

### Email/password account

Regular account with email and password allows you to login on multiple devices and be in control of your credentials.

Since your password is used to end-to-end encrypt your data, if you ever forget it you will lose access to all of your data!

To create your account, enter your **email address**, **password**, and **confirm your password**. Your password should have a minimum of **8 characters** and contain various different characters.

Click on "**Create account**" and you are ready to go.

We recommend even more -> use proper password manager and let it generate **very strong, very long, very random** password for you so you don't even have to think about it.

### Joining as a guest

Credentials for the guest account are generated and stored securely on your device.

You will not be able to recover your account or log in on another device unless you [convert it to a regular account](../guest-account/#how-to-convert-a-guest-account-to-a-regular-account).

If you want to join as a guest, click on "**Guest**" and "**Continue as a guest**".

Read the popup about account type and if you don't agree click "**Cancel**" and choose [**Email/password account**](#emailpassword-account).

Otherwise, to continue as a guest, click "**Confirm**".
