# How to delete a privacy zoneFollow these steps to delete a privacy zone manually, or understand what happens when a temporary zone expires.

You can delete a privacy zone at any time.
When a zone is deleted or expires, Paralino immediately stops obfuscating your location in that area and resumes normal location sharing.

## Steps to delete a privacy zone

1. Open the zone details screen for the zone you want to delete.
2. Tap **Delete**.
3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

## Automatic expiration

If you set a duration when creating your privacy zone, you do not need to delete it manually. Once the selected duration passes, the zone automatically expires and becomes inactive, and normal location sharing resumes immediately when you are in that area. 
You can keep the expired zone in your list to reactivate or adjust it later, or delete it to clear it from the list.
