Managing History

You have full control over your location history and can delete specific points or periods. You can also turn off location history recording altogether without interrupting location sharing.

How to delete location history#

To delete location history for your device, follow these steps:

1. Open the history screen for your device or your member in the group.
2. Select a point on the map that you want to remove.
3. Tap the Delete button that appears on the card.
4. A dialog will appear where you can choose to delete the selected point or a range of points.
   • Delete Point: Removes only the single selected location update.
   • Delete Range: Allows you to delete a sequence of points.
5. If you select “Delete Range,” you then have to drag the slider in the card to select exactly which location points to delete, giving you granular control over what data is removed. This way you can delete specific path or even a full day of history.
