Personal Location History

Location History in Personal Space allows you to visualize your movements over time. Whether you want to retrace a recent trip or see where you spent your day, your history is securely stored and accessible only to you.

When tracking is active on your device, Paralino securely records your location points. This data is then used to generate your history view, showing paths and stops on the map.

• Automatically recorded: Location history is recorded automatically when tracking is active on your device.
• Private: Your history is never shared with Groups or other users.
• Encrypted: All history data is end-to-end encrypted. That includes all location points along with all other metadata like speed, elevation, battery level, etc.

Accessing History#

To see your location history ensure you are in the Personal Space view (using the map toggle) and then tap on the History button.

From there on you can view the history for any of your personal devices and navigate through the history with date selector. You can view history for any of your personal devices as long as you have activated tracking for that device.

Viewing location history in personal space works the same as viewing location history in groups.

Google Timeline alternative#

Data Retention#

The amount of location history saved depends on your subscription plan.

All location history older than the amount of days specified in your plan is deleted automatically.

On the Max plan, your Personal Space history can be stored indefinitely, allowing you to build a complete record of your travels over years.

You can of course delete your location history at any time or not store it at all.
